Radio Show
Posted by Scott Hand on 2010-08-13 at 6:34 pm
Rob has a new Radio Show!
You can listen in online at http://www.2plyradio.com every Friday from 9pm - 11pm Pacific Time.
According to the website, it looks like you can watch him live on UStream during the show, too.

I'm not sure what the content will be, but judging from previous radio hosting appearances, it won't be difficult for Rob to fill up 2 hours letting us listen to some of his favorite music. I'm hoping he's not too modest to throw some of his own new stuff on the airwaves.

Congratulations
Posted by Scott Hand on 2008-04-21 at 8:19 pm
I know it's not music-related, but congrats to the Crows on another baby boy. This may explain the relative slow-down in Rob's music - but its obviously for the best!
I hope everyone there is doing well, and perhaps we'll see some new inspiration soon.

Pinback - Spoof Video
Posted by Scott Hand on 2007-10-29 at 8:51 am
Mike from the awesome HERC (who I've seen several times) says, "Just wanted to let you know I made a spoof video for Pinback, to have some fun and to
show some spirit for Halloween. Both Rob and Zack loved it when I showed them. They may even use it as their main video??"

Rob's listening
Posted by Scott Hand on 2007-06-26 at 2:25 pm
Rob took a break from reading the inane diatribe on the Yahoo Pinback group from all of the folks who downloaded Autumn of the Seraphs early to say:
good for you!
i totally disagree with your review, but i'm glad that you know that
you can say whatever you want in here.
"They are a pop band and ran their course."
sorry, but we're just getting started.
zach and i haven't been this energized since "this is a".

by the way, if any of you want to buy a record that is actually out,
the new cephalic carnage is awesome.
i love the new shellac as well.
not to mention the bitchin' betty davis and sly and the family stone
re-issues.

Rob has a few solo shows lined up for the rest of this month. Check him out if you're in southern California (I wish I was.)

Also, Brenden shot me an email pointing me at his site Music Under Fire which features his 'best of Pinback' here that may keep you tided over until September when Autumn of the Serephs is released.

Up in The Savages
Posted by Scott Hand on 2007-04-07 at 9:15 am
Sean found that the trailer for the new movie "The Savages" features Up from Rob's solo release Living Well.
I'm not sure if it's in the final film, but it's about half of the trailer.
Check it out here: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/thesavages/trailer/

Clorox Wipes commercials
Posted by Scott Hand on 2007-01-13 at 7:27 pm
Rob's vocal appearance in some recent Clorox Wipes television commercials has caused a huge influx of visitors to this site. Kevin sent me some YouTube links to the two different commercials (same song) so I got to see them finally. That's the price I pay for not watching TV.
Clorox Wipes Kiss
Clorox Wipes Dance
I ripped the sound off the YouTube video to make an .mp3. Check out the Sounds page to download/listen.
To answer many people's question: No, I don't think this is going to be released on any of Rob's albums. If you like it, you will probably like his newest album, Living Well, though.
